We exist because the gap between occasional companion care and full-time nursing leaves too many seniors — and their families — in a state of worry.

Our Mission

Filling the Gap That Standard Care Leaves Behind

Most families with aging loved ones face a frustrating reality: standard companion care visits once a week aren't frequent enough to detect early cognitive changes, and full-time in-home nursing is prohibitively expensive and often unnecessary.

Hernando Senior Wellness was built to fill that gap — with twice-weekly 15-minute structured visits that blend genuine companionship, cognitive baseline tracking, and a fresh set of eyes on the home environment.

Our goal is simple: catch small changes before they become big crises, and give families a trusted point of contact who really knows their loved one.

How We Work

The Twice-Weekly Model

Consistency is the secret ingredient. Two visits per week, every week, builds a cognitive and safety baseline that a once-monthly check-in simply cannot provide.

We Know This Community

Hernando County is home to some of Florida's most vibrant 55+ communities — GlenLakes, Silverthorn, Wellington at Seven Hills, Timber Pines, and many more. Over a third of residents are aged 65 or older, and the vast majority have made a deliberate choice to age in place.

We honour that choice by providing a service that supports independence rather than replacing it. Our visitors are often local seniors themselves — people who understand the rhythms of life in Spring Hill and Brooksville because they live them too.

We also proudly acknowledge and appreciate Hernando County's significant veteran population. If your loved one served, we understand that service and pride — and we bring that same respect to every visit.

Hernando Senior Wellness operates as a registered Homemaker and Companion Services (HCS) provider under Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) guidelines.

All wellness visitors undergo Level 2 FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) background screening before their first visit — no exceptions.

We are an observational, non-clinical service only. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Per Florida Chapter 468, our safety walkthroughs are observations, not professional inspections.

Henry & Daisy Roman

Founders & Owners

Henry & Daisy Roman have been active in patient & child care for over 25 years, in a variety of settings, including hospitals, hospices and schools. Both bring unique talents to the company. Both know what it's like to have a loved one living far away and wondering how they're doing.

The system invented by Henry, a classically trained engineer, is designed to give those who worry peace of mind — with accurate assessments and detailed observations delivered efficiently using modern tools with a healthy dose of old-fashioned, neighborly caring.

We're here, when you can't be. We care about them as much as you do.
